Sydney gazed toward the top of her roommate's side table, gathering her courage before trying to shimmy up the furniture currently 3 times her height. She knew she probably had less than an hour to herself to get the talisman her roommate Hank had absently dropped there when he bolted.

Hank argued that it'd be way too dangerous to make another wish with the token, and that he never wished to change his roommate from an average man into a woman (let alone a woman the size of a Barbie doll, shrinking right out of her clothes.) He said he even tried to wish Sydney back already. What other random changes might the trinket magically force on them‽

Then Hank remembered that his ex used to have passing interest in magical objects and he rushed out of the apartment, promising to return with help. But Sydney didn't trust him. How could she? Hank had to have made the perverted wish and trapped her in this this nightmare.

By the time Hank convinced his ex-girlfriend to come back with him to the apartment, Sydney had struggled to the summit (a 3-foot clamber) and made her wish: that she'd be a man again (she specified of course that she'd be a fit and handsome and generously "gifted".) But instead, the talisman granted her the gift of flight… (the wish Hank initially made.)

Hank promptly recognized the pattern and led the group to their trans friend, convincing them to try their hand at wishing. They wished that "Sydney returns to normal." Then Hank's ex took a turn, wishing for "good health in her family"

When Sydney remained a foot tall, they suspected the talisman had 3 main rules: 1) you receive the previous person's wish upon making your wish, 2) you are allowed a single wish, and 3) the effect of previous wishes cannot be undone.
