I sold my mental map without knowing exactly where it (I) might end up but mental map sales always pay well (your original body always gets a commission when a copy is purchased through the Mind Map Marketplace) and I always wanted to explore the world.
Apparently one of my copies was sold to the National Parks Service. Digital brains piloting biomechanical bodies are immensely cheaper to employ and in the wake of federal staffing cuts, they still needed fire watch personnel. So now I spend my days climbing and racing through tall trees to keep alert for for smoke.
