The latest economic boom may be in part due to the uninterrupted productivity mind-clone android units allow. That same economic upturn also allowed the price of such units to plummet. So much so that many mundane office positions were being filled with the cheap and plentiful technology.
My job was suddenly at risk and so I decided to lease my mind map as well. A second after the procedure, (from my point of view) I woke up in a drone body, realizing I was a copy. I actually don't mind that aspect. I agree with what my original had to do. My largest frustration is that the company my drone works for implemented a policy prohibiting drones from wearing pants. (A policy that ensures office drones can be identified immediately.)
