In the Great Shift, I found myself in this young woman's body milliseconds before getting T-Boned in her coupe by a large SUV. I'd been on the sidewalk moments before so I thought I'd been run over on foot.
My arms were pinned in pieces of the dash and steering wheel and when emergency services finally reached her car, her arms were beyond saving and had to be removed.
I was in so much pain that I didn't even notice the change in my body until after the anesthetic for the amputations wore off in the hospital.
