Anya's grandmother moved to the United States and established Bikini Beach in the middle of the 20th century. Malcolm, living down river from Bikini Beach's initial location, was the first recorded person affected by an accidental water leak. But because Bikini Beach wasn't well known yet, Mackenzie (as Mac decided to rename herself) had no idea what caused her sexual transformation and decided to live an even quieter and more secluded life, continuing to fish from the stream and bathe in it's waters. When the magical matriarchal proprietor of Bikini Beach found Mackenzie, the transformation was years too old to be reversable.
