Fletcher enjoyed the imagined torment Ford, now Felicia, was going through: being reduced to Fletcher's miniaturized slave. (Secretly, Felicia had grown to love her master's attention and didn't mind the frankly relaxing loss of free will.)
It had been two days since his initial transformation of his athletic rival and Fletcher decided to modify Felicia further. He felt that her diminished height was poetic (Ford was previously nearly a head taller than Fletcher and now barely came to his waist.) After removing Felicia's legs below the knees, Ford's threat to Fletcher had truly been diminished.
