Jackson was notified in early January that the body he should have grown up in was not the one he did grow up in. The person he was swapped at birth with started the process that began with his notification and ended with them swapping back into their "rightful" bodies.
For weeks afterward, the new Jillian thought anxiety and stress was making her sick. Only when she started showing did she realized she was overdue for her first period. Jillian had never had sex as a woman and yet she was pregnant. The woman who grew up in this body apparently got herself knocked up before leaving it. The pregnancy was too far along for it to be safe for them to swap back so Jillian filed for and won her appeal for child support.
Her swap partner promised to give her whatever support she needed and even offered to raise the child once it was born instead of providing the child support. The most immediate help to Jill though, was a suggestion to explore the pleasures of "jilling off."
