My sister is the best! She has always been supportive of me even when the rest of my family has not.
When I came out as trans, most of my family and friends abandoned me. Never disowning me - just never talking to me again. Never again an invite home for holidays or calls to check on me.
But my sister bought me a birthday gift through the Swap Clinic! After months of therapy to be sure I wanted the expensive swap, she joined me at the clinic so I knew she loved me - even in a very different body. A body I finally feel right in.
Every morning I wake up, remind myself I'm a girl now, and call my sis to thank her for the best gift I've ever recieved.
