Proof of Possession

Caption thumbnail
Martin was unfortunately both a pervert and a magic user. He bragged to his friends that his latest skill he'd developed was possession and they demanded proof. So Martin cast his spell and chose his target: Hannah - their popular classmate who was seated at the other end of the diner the group of friends were hanging out in. "This is great! I win the bet, have an excuse to show off my magic, and I get to feel up Hannah!" he gloated to himself. He made eye contact with his friends, pulled a face, and groped Hannah's breasts repeatedly. As soon as his actions began garnering too much attention, he triggered the end of his possession spell and returned to his impressed friends.

  1. Can’t seem to view any animated ones on mobile. Any ideas?

    1. What device and browser are you using? The animated captions have pretty good support for most platforms but if you're one of the... 14ish % of people using Safari on iOS, it probably has vp9 codec support "turned off by default."

I don't have the budget for an iOS device or I 1) would have caught this earlier and 2) could troubleshoot this. Some people suggest using VLC and long pressing on the video and "sharing" to VLC? Others suggest toggling "request desktop version" and they all suggest updating the OS and browser.

Maybe I can add fallback to GIF in the code? Would you help me confirm it works if I try?

    2. If you refresh this post, can you see the video now?

(If you can, I just need to decide whether using h264 mp4 is worth the larger file size/lower quality and whether the RedGifs overlay is worth not embedding the video directly.)

    3. If you're willing to help, it'd be great if you can tell me whether the animated caption on https://some-more-tg-captions.blogspot.com/2023/03/birthday-break-2.html works for you too! (This one is using h264 mp4 instead of webm so I think it'll work better for iOS devices.)

If one of the methods (redgifs vs mp4) works and the other doesn't: decision made. If both work, I need to decide what's more important: not having redgifs overlays or not encoding the video in the post code itself. (The method without redgifs makes for a big RSS feed size for those that use it.)

  2. Sorry, just seeing these. This one is working but it seems to overlap the text. Whatever you did for the birthday break one either works better or the gif is smaller, not sure which
