The Morphic Adaptation Unit is an amazing piece of technology obviously far beyond any earthly inventor's ability. That assumption didn't stop me and my housemate Chad from having wild amounts of fun with it though. For the last two and a half days, we'd turned ourselves into animals, cyborgs, and alien creature; competing to test the limits of our imaginations and then revert back safely and try something else.
With the weekend over, Chad headed off to commute to work and I went to my work-at-home desk. After an hour or two of distracted work, I found that I couldn't concentrate. So I headed back to the MAU. I thought maybe it'd be fun to plan a prank on Chad. I knew his "type" and planned to impersonate his fantasy woman. (I hadn't planned anything concrete beyond that and thought I'd come up with something great before Chad came home.)
Well, my attention must have wandered while configuring the unit. When I exited the MAU's booth, I found everything in the room several feet higher in my perpective than expected. I'd accidentally turned myself into a version of Chad's fantasy woman without full-length limbs! The most frustrating aspect of my mistake is that now I'm too short to reach the MAU's control panel and I have to wait for his return…
