Quin was just an accountant for Palmer Tech., trying to avoid any involvement in the superhero fight in the street on his walk home from work. But keeping his head down meant that he didn't see the punch that sent the hero Sideways into an uncontrolled tumble toward him. Sideways opened a rift to avoid a painful impact but mistakenly opened it through Quin. Quin screamed as his entire world became pain.
When consciousness returned, he found he was somehow in Harleen Quinzel's body - but in a time before she met the Joker. Terrified for her future mental and physical health, Quin moved to Middleton, Colorado and resolved to stay far away from any super-powered excitement. But sometimes she wonders if her body means she's destined to lose the sanity she desires.
