The Pre-Shift announcement upset everyone's previous expectations for their futures and many people took drastic steps in response. Alice, for example, took her body as far away from my older male body as possible, in the hopes that the Great Shift wouldn't be able to swap us over that distance.
I don't blame her but now I'm stuck in her body in the Antarctic 9,000 miles from home. *Sigh.* I feel like I need to clear my head so I'm going to take a Polar Bear Plunge to celebrate the New Year.
