Miles always chose low effort costumes for Halloween parties and would wait until practically the last minute to choose one. Stopping at a strangely empty costume shop along his route home, Miles grabbed a bunny-ear headband from a discount rack. (He figured he'd grab his bass drum and put on a pair of sandals, a pink hoodie & sunglasses from home and tell people at the party that he was the energizer bunny.)
The DJ for the party improperly powered his equipment and blew a circuit breaker, partway through a dance. The party-goers thought little of the incident beyond the strange feedback those with NaniteHelper health plans felt when the house's EMF abruptly changed.
When the party ended, Miles found he couldn't remove the headband! And the longer he wore it, the more drastically his body was changing!
