It's easy now to identify victims by their shiny and permanent Nanite Leather (Neather) skin, a female form with unreal proportions (regardless of their original sex), high heels that cannot be removed, and increased sexual sensitivity.
The only defense against the nanites otherwise replicating uncontrollably is an ElectroMagnetic Pulse (EMP) that resets their programming.
