Lucas took the fall for his classmate Chad when Chad vandalized their school district offices. Lucas knew his mother Leeann's retribution would be even worse than the school's punishment and Chad owed him a very large favor. So he convinced Chad to enter the futuristic metal booth they found in the field between their houses to impersonate Leeann and attend the parent-teacher conference the school scheduled.
The real Leeann would remain blissfully unaware of Lucas' transgressions and, due to a few upgrades to his mother's appearance, Lucas hoped that Chad would be able to convince the all-male school board to be more lenient in their punishment. Chad wasn't impressed with the "improvements" though. He complained that the real Leeann wasn't this short, her voice wasn't this husky, and he was feeling disconcerted that he wasn't getting excited as he fiddled with his bust that was inaccurately large.
The entire situation got even messier that night when Chad discovered the booth was now permanently inactive and he couldn't change back. He discovered this after rushing "home" in a panic after he came out of the hormonal trance that enabled him to successfully seduce the Chair of the committee and reduce Lucas' punishments. Chad insisted they finally "come clean" with Leeann and Leeann insisted they all "come clean" with the chairman.
