This was the best introduction I could have gotten to my new life. Later, I'd have to deal with this woman's unshifted husband, the discomfort of her pregnancy, and all the ways my previous life was forcefully at an end. But that would be later. When the Great Shift happened, I found myself in the amazing throes of passionate sex with a skilled stranger.
